This New Year's Eve, many ORB members will gather at the towpath in Canton, OH to race a 10 miler. The race will also be attended by local runners such as Mount Union standouts Dustin Ford and Ty Griffin and some of Matt Reneker's St. Thomas Aquinas high school boys.
The race will be run in teams that are selected pick-up style (think backyard football). The fastest cumulative time wins.
My predictions for ORB finishers:
1.) Dan Simpson
2.) Dave Adams
3.) Ryan Hochstetler
4.) Dan Graber
5.) Matt Reneker
6.) Alex Stern
7.) Sam Stern
8.) Joey Beall
It should be a competitive race with the MUC guys and a couple St. Thomas studs thrown in.

Should be great. Teams wins based on total cumulative time makes things so much more interesting in my opinion. When you throw Ford and Griffin in with some of Reneker's talented guys at St. Thomas, I think it makes the team race picture pretty interesting.
With their credentials coming in, I think Hochstetler and Adams have to be the early favorites, with the Mount duo challenging as well.
While I can't predict finishing order, I'll go out on a limb and say the overall winner runs in the high 53's and the top three overall run sub-55 (5:30 pace) - assuming the conditions on the trail and weather allow for it.
